the OU game was basically at home, tho.

this is a road game, with the same stakes on the line (much more is on the line this time if other things happen)

Cat fans were significantly outnumbered
yeah, it was around 70-30 OU fans.  OU fans started buying tickets at half time of the OU/Texas game in early October - cat fans had to wait for NU fans to unload theirs after 38-9.

Nebraska '98 set the stage for us to beat two teams we were favored against to reach the title game. At best this game would give us the chance to play a team we would be a double digit dog to for a chance at reaching the title game.

this is a good point

does anyone care how the Jack Gardner cats got to the natty in '51? no, no one gives a eff. the point is they had a chance to win the whole damn thing because they were in the actual game, not how they got there. so, i'd say the final 4 win was the defacto best win in the programs lifespan, because it put them in place for the biggest win in its history.

in saying that, if a few things fall the right way, snyds could lead the cats into the biggest game in program history in a few weeks (playoff semi-final)*, so I would say the win that got them there is the best win at the time. they win the semi-final and make it to the champ game, it's the best win. then of course, the natty.

*i'm in no way saying this will happen or even expecting it, just trying give one side an argument

Second to last game of the regular season. Only a game against Missouri and the Big 12 championship followed.

I can think of probably 10 games that would be better.

November 14th. But the significance of beating Nebraska wouldn't be any less had we played them in September because of the history going into the game.

I get the arguments that make this Baylor game a big one and no doubt it will be Top 5 for K-State/Snyder if we win. However, I can't discount winning a conference title for the first time in 69 years. Yes, getting an opportunity to play for a national title and be in the playoff would be enormous and if that indeed happens then I may change my mind because it will be the first time ever, but I still look at the other dominoes that have to fall for that to happen and it isn't at that point (best ever) for me yet.

there are a lot of things that can happen this weekend to adjust where this win would be.

- Cats win, TCU win, no playoff: it's roughly a top 10-15 win.
- Cats win, TCU loses, no playoff: it's a top 5-10 win.
- Cats win, TCU loses, playoff: best win ever.

TCU doesn't have to lose to make it Top 5 for me. I mean, beating a Top 10 team on the road in the last game of the season with a share of the conference title on the line is really big. JMHO.

This is incorrect.

(.37)(.02)= .0074

The odds are 'virtually' 0%, but not 'literally'.

This would be somewhere between 3-4 no matter what.  If we somehow backed in (not going to happen) and won a game, that game we won would be his best.

I don't think you know what the definition of literally means. Not surprising.

That win would likely be beating Alabama in the Sugar or Oregon in the Rose so yeah

No.  Winning Saturday is not his biggest win.  You're unable to read good.

Rhoads just needs to tell his guys that they are playing Iowa again for all the marbles.  TCU loses, we win, party, Cats, National Champs.
