Pitt game needs to be thrown out because we lost our legs in that game. That is a scheduling and strength & conditioning issue, problems we won't have all year.

This team can flat out shoot, a lot of shooters I don't think that is something we have to worry about or die about. It is way to early to use statical data to define the cats, we will improve and have so much to improve on in just standard execution.

Hurt made strides last night and eating space up and protecting the rim. It was a great thing to see. Westicles still hasn't find his groove, he will.

I agree sample size is minimal at this point, but its never too early to use stats. We are over 1/5 of the way through our schedule. I tend to agree that this team will improve.

I'm just not sure how many true back to the basket post players we have. I think Gip can play that way at times, but he's limited by match-ups against certain teams. I haven't gotten the sense that Hurt can play that way either, but I don't know on him yet. Nino is definitely a face up post if you want to call him that, he's probably a swing guy. We miss DJamer some in this regard as well. We're probably just as good at drive and kick as we are at inside out through the posts we have.

Either way, around 1/3 of our shots need to be 3s IMO.

Right now we'er 26-49-25 for %age of points from 3s-2s-FTs. Last year was 26-53-21. Year one of oscar was 30-52-18.

I agree we shouldn't throw it out, but a basketball season is long and more forgiving. I think we shouldn't stress that the Pitt result defines our season.

It is a data point that can't be ignored because we don't like it.  Especially given the LBSt. game.

Pitt got to Maui Thursday (2 days before we did) and played in two blow out games one being Chaminade. Also it was blatantly obvious that our legs weren't in our shots. Pitt looked fine. It could say something about our strength and conditional coaching. At the end of the season the Pitt game will be a statical outlier.
