I am more than likely in the minority but I feel like his commentating makes KSU worse.

I dunno, I'm just bitter right now.  :dubious:

oscar Weber has the personality of a dead moth.

Will Spradling is an awful human being.

He's really tucking out this morning on 810:

- This is a good thing. This bball team can go back to the K-state way, like a LHC Bill Snyder team. We don't need the 5* hot shots, we need the 2-3 star kids who care to make this team better.

-oscar's seat is not hot at all. I know there's a lot of grumblings out there in the K-state community, but inside, they couldn't be happier. He's a long ways from being out.

-I think next years team will be better. I think Edwards was hurt by all the Foster drama and he'll be better than ever.

-Compared the border patrol to a bunch of 2-3 star recruits and compared them to the national media who are compared to a 5 star cast, but he thinks the border patrol is better than those national guys and that's what this team needs.

etc.

Border Patrol: "If Weber doesn't make any post season next year, is he on the hot seat?" Stan: "Nope! It might start to warm, but he's not out!"  :runaway:

I normally like Stanbot but he hurt my feelings this morning.

At least SSJ knows we're mumped

I'm glad they followed it with a Jay Heidrick chaser, because what my morning needed was just a whole lot of "that".

The best part about Heidrick is that he said there are a lot of KSU fans that would complain about how heavy a gold truck is if it showed up to their house.

I almost turned my car off of the road.

The myth of "The K-State Way" as a morally superior way of operating a basketball or football program is both false and stupid. Quit acting like recruiting unaesthetic losers is equivalent to higher morality.

Lots of programs perpetuate this myth, although I'm not sure they play it up to the national media or integrate it into every last facet of the program (read: compliance) the way KSU does.

I don't care that Heidrick sucked at basketball, I already knew that.  I care that he's just another dumbass in a long line of dumbasses that KC radio calls up to talk K-State hoops.

Yeah, the ________ way is far from unique to K-State. Its just using your school as a synonym for "right" (however that is defined) to somehow feel morally superior. In the end everyone reaches a point where the "right" way isn't enough, because this is real competitive college athletics and not 7th grade B team basketball. It just takes some people longer to realize that just being "right" and losing isn't enough and you have to be whatever "right" is and still win to really enjoy being a fan.

I think this is why many #BiDers were so damn pissed about the oscar hire. They knew that if (when) oscar imploded the program, the deconstruction wouldn't stop until oscar starts losing with a bunch of untalented kids on the roster and there would be nothing left for the next coach, or perhaps worse we'd be stuck in a consistent cycle of mediocrity as oscar recruits some talent but doesn't know how to utilize them and gets an endless stream of "he needs more time" statements from media and the 'tucks.

As much as this board has contributed to the overall culture of EMAW in the past few years, we're still very much a minority when it comes to how the majority of the fanbase (and the athletic department) looks at K-State sports, and that overall lack of control despite years of financial and emotional investment in emaw hoops leads to quite a bit of understandable angst. Watching something you love get wrecked by moralists who think life should be like the 50's and black athletes are consistently a problem unless they're conformist and "well spoken" is disappointing, to say the least.

^^never mind, a bunch of crap we already know and has been discussed ad nauseum

Stanbot needs a software update.  Running on DOS still.

Also, LOL at any form of any drama making Edwards shitty at catching/finishing oops and stuff.
