quick hypothetical-

let's say you are a ksu cats and kc sports fan in your late 30's. what are the odds that you will see a national championship or pro sports championship before you die? possible? probable?

I am basing it on the fact the Chiefs are the only one of the four on a league with a salary cap and one of two with a draft

you guys say that but i bet we'd all rally around the chiefs if they made a super bowl kind of like we cared about cats baseball that one year. i mean you take what you can get, you know?

I wouldn't. When they have ever been in the playoffs I haven't even watched the games. I legitimately don't care at all about the NFL or the KC soccer team.

i don't care much about the chiefs either but you can bet your ass that i would be watching the superbowl and cheering pretty hard for them if they ever made it. it's easily our best shot.

I disagree. In the past 20 years, Chiefs have never been close. KSU FB was close in 98/12, KSU BB was close in '10 (probably would've lost to Mich st or Duke tho), and the Royals just had the winning run for the World Series at the plate, tying run on 3rd, bottom of the 9th.

I'd say based on recent history, Chiefs are our worst shot.

moving forward, if you put the cats and the royals on one side and the chiefs on the other. i'd probably pick the chiefs to win one before the other three. starting to get sick to my stomach thinking about how i'll never see cats or royals win one.
