Jon Sundvold on 810 yesterday was asked about the bracket and seedings.  He said he normally doesn't comment on the committee's work, but wondered how KU got slotted in Kansas City in light of their conference and overall record--he sounded like KU got some favorable treatment there.  He also commented on an underseeded Cincinnati being placed in Columbus, and thought the likelihood of them playing Tennessee early in the tourney was a little unfair to Tennessee.  He thought that higher sided teams would be more fairly treated if KU and Cincinnati tourney locations were swapped.

5. Lon Kruger, Oklahoma Sooners -- Kruger was a two-time Big Eight player of the year as a point guard at Kansas State (1973 and 1974) and led the Wildcats to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances during his collegiate career. He was a ninth-round pick of the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA draft (Kruger also tried out with the Detroit Pistons) and played professionally in Israel. He also played a season of minor league baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals organization and was invited to training camp with the Dallas Cowboys as a quarterback.

I know we lost 3 amazing players, but second to last? That hurts.

I know teams have been picked first and finished last (see our Baseball team in 2014), but has a team that won a regular season conference title ever been picked next-to-last or last the next year?

You have to pick Kansas first until someone else knocks them off two years in a row.

We should have been picked either fourth or fifth (behind Texas) in that poll. There's some real inconsistent logic happening here.

Pretty significant divide between projected non-wednesday and wednesday teams.

Lead in: "With all due respect to Texas Tech and reigning Big 12 co-champ Kansas State, the No. 1 story in the Big 12 until further notice is the Kansas Jayhawks. Whether off the court or on, what are your biggest concerns about Bill Self's program?"... then they proceed to mention K-State 0 times throughout the remaining article.  :shakesfist:

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I mean no one is going to have an easy time ranking a first time head coach with an entirely new team. I have no reason to disagree with wherever anyone ranks us out of 10.

David N’Guessan being a key newcomer as well as a key loss is very impressive

Curious. You don’t think Rothstein has some insider information about N’guessan? Like maybe he’s already portaling again? He’s not listed as a starter or a bench player.

it appears that Mr. Rothstein didn't see Tomlin's sick ass dunk on friday

https://www.fanduel.com/theduel/posts/rothstein-45-week-2-01ghsqce2tya

5. Kentucky: Oscar Tshiebwe’s health remains a major question.

6. UCLA: Jaylen Clark is a problem.

9. Kansas: Who plays center?

10. TCU: Not the same team without Damion Baugh.

11. Texas: Can make a major statement against Gonzaga on Wednesday.

12. Indiana: Friday’s game at Xavier will be a litmus test.

13. San Diego State: Jaedon LeDee is the real deal.

14. Michigan State: Outplayed Gonzaga for the majority of 40 minutes.

15. Arkansas: Will Nick Smith (knee) play in next week’s Maui Invitational?

16. Tennessee: Was completely out of sync against Colorado.

17. Auburn: 10 players are averaging double figure minutes.

18. Villanova: Lost to Temple for the first time since 2012.

19. Purdue: Hosts Marquette on Tuesday in the Gavitt Games.

20. Xavier: There’s not many frontcourt combinations better than Zach Freemantle and Jack Nunge.

21. Texas A&M: Buy stock in Wade Taylor IV.

22. Arizona: Has tallied 54 assists on 68 made field goals in its first two games.

23. Virginia: Shooting 48 percent from three-point range as a team.

30. Seton Hall: Will get a test from Iowa on Wednesday in Newark.

31. Saint Louis: Yuri Collins has 27 assists and just five turnovers through two games.

32. Dayton: Will visit UNLV on Tuesday.

33. Ohio State: Brice Sensabaugh is a star.

34. Texas Tech: 31 assists and 32 turnovers through two games.

35. Illinois: Baylor transfer Dain Dainja is averaging a double-double.

36. Virginia Tech: Mike Young coaches offense as well as anyone in the sport.

37. USC: Playing for the first time in years without a dominant big man.

38. Notre Dame: Freshman J.J. Starling was huge down the stretch against Youngstown State.

39. St. John’s: Joel Soriano is making an impact on the glass.

40. Florida: Kyle Lofton only has one turnover in 47 minutes.

41. Providence: Will play one game outside of New England before Dec. 17th.

42. Wisconsin: Tyler Wahl looks like one of the best players in the Big Ten.

43. Wyoming: Hanging on for dear life without Graham Ike.

44. Iowa: Buy stock in Payton Sandfort.

45. Marquette: This feels like one of Shaka Smart’s teams from VCU.
