Why would gay couples divorce at a higher rate than straight couples?

Loose morals, obviously.

I mean, are gay ppl more unstable?  Less mature?  More likely to experience financial hardship?  Honor the thought of monogamy less than their straight counterparts?

I will say my favorite joke of all time is "I'm in favor of gay marriage...let 'em be miserable like the rest of us".

Gets me every time.

I would expect them to divorce at a lower rate. I would expect it takes a lot more commitment to take on the societal and political hurdles that are required.

They are a lot less likely to have children, too. I would think that would significantly reduce the amount of stress in their lives.

Wonder if bi-racial couples divorce at a dissimilar rate to the general population?

Asked whether same-sex marriage would personally affect Unruh’s marriage with his wife he responded:  “No, but it would affect the joy and celebration that we think of a when we think of marriage, because we would also have to have in mind on a daily basis that its now shared with people, that, who have the same sex relationships. The word would be a disturbing emotion for us on a daily basis, know that the word is being shared with people who are in a same sex relationship.

The Word

I kinda knew him. He was a weird aloof dude but IIRC his family (his previous family, he's been divorced) was KU fans.

People who get divorced shouldn't be allowed to re-marry.  Marriage is a lifelong commitment made in the presence of God (The Father Almighty).  Allowing these people to remarry is shameful and infringes on the sanctity of all true marriages.

It ruins the experiences my wife and I share.  Really awful

He calls marriage "our word."  That's my favorite part.  What a rough ridin' nutjob.

Two queers may or may not use a word to describe their relationship, and that causes me emotional distress, even though I won't be around to hear them say it and they may be using the word in a context different from my usage of same word.

People who are this ignorant about the very nature of language itself can get right mumped.  The only time I could see myself getting litigious over how someone might decide to use a word is if that word is 'Beetlejuice'.  People who are flippant with the word 'Beetlejuice' can get right mumped, too, because it's a slippery slope to saying - that word - for a third time...

...Beetlejuice.

Everytime I hear about a couple of gays getting married it makes me feel exactly as if that very couple laid me down and had hardcore gay sex right on top of me.  I unequivocally refuse to be gay people's sex blanket and that is why they cannot be allowed to marry.
