Who makes youre RAID enclosure/Server?  They should have a list of error codes you can review to see what actions you should take.   I'd agree with TBT that it sounds like your disk 0 failed, but we're really just guessing here.

It's a Dell PowerEdge T310.  Where do you find the error codes?

Might look into replacing that  RAID controller battery too. Shouldn't be very expensive.

Not too worried about expensive, more worried about DIY server maintenance and making a mistake that causes major issues.

If you lose power and your raid controller battery is dead and you have write caching enabled, you sure as hell better have backups because your data is going to be corrupt bro
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Scientific Linux 7 is quite pleasant and one of the more refined Linux distros I've used. It even has it's own virtualization software that comes standard, so I can run a vm INSIDE another vm  :Wha:

If you guys haven't upgraded to Windows 10 you better do it soon.  You have a month from today to upgrade it for free.

I've had Windows 10 on my laptop since last summer and love it.  I'm about to upgrade my work computer to it this week from Windows 7.
