Brunch?
« on: January 29, 2010, 11:18:09 AM »
Thoughts?

I sorta hate it.  I'd rather have breakfast AND lunch, not combine them into one weird hybrid.

There are good brunch places in NOLA, which I tell myself to enjoy, but brunch usually just doesn't cut it (unless I'm hung over).

I couldn't disagree more.  Brunch is the best meal ever invented.  But only on special occasions, like weekends.  And it usually involves drinking.

You would rather force people into eating either breakfast items or lunch items, not having the freedom to choose from either menu?  What is this, Russia?

Not a big fan of the bruch, I cant stand to see breakfast food after 10 am. I think it has something to do with the fact that Breakfast was the only thing I knew how to cook when I got to college. Bacon Sausage and Pancakes for dinner every night gets old quick.

Sounds like you may need to have a steak for breakfast.  And, you know where you can have that?  Mother rough ridin' Brunch

One of my favorite things in life is to go to those high-end brunch buffets where you can get stuff like Prime Rib with horseradish on the same plate as eggs, bacon, and biscuits & gravy, etc.

Brunch is how I know that there is a form of "God" out there...

I can have a steak for breakfast at breakfast too.  Steak and eggs - nothing finer.

Start mixing in alcohol and things like crepes and german pancakes and the whole thing gets way too muddied.  I like focus and direction in my meals, not pandering.  Brunch is all like, "I'll give you everything, please like me."  I'm like, "No, GTFOOMF."   :combofan:

Seriously though,  brunch is always swinging from my nutsack.  I'll eat what I want, when I want.  I don't need brunch telling me it's okay.  I already know it's okay.  I don't need to be freakin' validated or pampered.

Oddly enough, I do like massages though.   :dunno:

the only breakfast item that I like FOR breakfast is biscuits and gravy.  I can't eat eggs in the morning.  Love them for dinner.  Weird i know.

Didn't even read thread, but I agree with everyone that pointed this obvious truth:

steak + crab legs + poached egg salmon biscuits + omelet + drinking in the morning = awesome. every rough ridin' time. pass the 11 am cheesecake and stfu.
