CDC guy says we shouldn't ban travel because teams wouldn't be able to into the infected areas.

Okay, so there would be no special consideration, flights, charters etc. etc. for teams to go into the impacted areas? Ooops, no travel to Liberia on (insert favorite travel website here) because of the ban, I guess we're just SOL. Honestly, you can't help but think that these people want it to get worse with the logic they're spewing forth.

American citizens live in a surveillance state, get subjected to full body scans and possibly even cavity searches just to get on an airplane. But we can't ban flights to an area that has a deadly disease going around and is a situation on the doorstep of pandemic status?

So, as of this weekend, Omaha has ebola too, thanks to some camera man that got it and was flown here.

Texas is still winning with the no income tax thing, though.

The issue is not all these people coming over on direct flights from Liberia

Yeah, the KC radio was discussing this last week. They had a caller call in and he said that he flew from Liberia to Paris - London(iirc), to Boston at the beginning of last week and not once, on any leg of the trip, was he asked anything about his time in Liberia, where exactly he was, exposure, etc. Just a normal flight.

This is why it will become a problem, imo.

I!t is too bad they ran out. Supposedly the adminisration would not fast track devolment of the serum. Agree can"t keep out people from africa.

KC radio said that Dallas guy has taken turn for worse today. Also said that they have relocated his GF to a "secure and undisclosed location for intense monitoring". I guess she is one of three ppl that are at highest risk for exposure.

It really isn't very contagious. You have to come into contact with bodily fluids to get infected, and you aren't contagious until after you show symptoms.
