Guys, no way Lane comes.  His wife was a 10 in Tenn and S Cal.  No way she will consent to becoming a 6 simply by moving to Lawrence.

Maybe he can do the job remote from Dallas?

Larry Coker, seen here deciding which awesome play to call next

Even though he's 66 years old you know he still has some of that old nasty "The U" swagger left in him and that's just what the Jayhawks need IMO.  A Coker led team never would have got shut out at home.

He already has UTSA on an upward trend so it's okay to for him to leave San Antonio and turn things over to their next guy.

I would like to see them do something really innovative like

TWITCH PLAYS KU FOOTBALL

the plays and personnel choices will all be made in real time by the collective internet hive mind.

IT costs: $15k/yr?

Oh man!  Feed it through twitter.  You could block the ppl that submitted plays that don't work so that you eventually whittle down to a good solid set of twitter users/coordinators.

Screw it. Just have Self coach the football team. Couldn't be much worse than the other coaches they have had.

Conference experience. Awesome recruiter. Swaggier than swagwood's whole family. In the market for a better job than NFL position coach.  I would be so rough ridin' jealous I don't know what I would do.

Thats my nightmare scenario, I want him when Bill leaves us so bad.

I know we wont, but we should. He was a good DC the year he was here. James Franklin turned out to be an OK coach.

Why not Terry Bowden?  He has a proven track record winning for almost 2 years at an SEC school and at the D-2 level.

Man he's even lumpier than Chuck was.

Lane Kiffin

He just has that look that says: "I know what i'm doing!"

I can never get over how much he looks like Daniel Tosh. Like, every time I see Kiffin I think "What they hell is Daniel Tosh on the sideline never mind it's Kiffin"

Obie the orange (orange bowl mascot) (pictured with coaching mentor "lou" holtz)

Would bring instant enthusiasm to the program and fanbase
Round shape in the ku coach tradition
Highly respected and constantly talked about by the big money donors (BMD's)
Recruiting would def see an uptick

Cons:
More of a program manager than an in game coach
Costs extra money for oversized headset
Is orange in color and could lead to misunderstandings about the official school colors

700k over 3 years, with plenty of money for top assistant coaches
Hyperbolic partisan duplicitous hypocrite
