I'm more interested to see who emerges as the front runner for the "coach we had but then things barely fell through" talking point. Harbaugh is tough to top, but it can be done. For the fanbase, its good for morale as it would seem unsubstantiated rumors give them validation for some reason. Then, understandably, this spills over into "nattys we would have won with the coach we didn't get" which in turn leads to more validation.
