Being down until basically the final drive at ISU is really, really, bad. Hanging tough with Auburn doesn't nullify that. It leads to being optimistic about the rest of the season, but you can't just write off poor play.

I am now very upset about the auburn loss.  It was such a letdown and auburn was there for the taking.

This is hard to understand.  Certain posters at gE seem to think we have this shitty bottom dwelling team, but then we almost beat a top 5 team; how's that possible? 

Pretty easy to understand.

Beating auburn could've been a spring board to the top 15 and from there you easily get a top 10 show down vs OU which would be very fun.

Very true.  This wasn't a dig at your post.  It was another way to question the idea that we are shitty this early in the season.

We were great from the start of 2012, we crushed Miami week 2. We shouldn't just assume "yeah we'll suck until October" because we barely beat Eastern Kentucky in 2011.

Based on your logic the 2011 team was trash because they barely beat EKU, and they're trash because they barely beat trash ISU. Shouldn't K-State just be trash, in general, since they barely beat ISU every year?

When did I say ISU was anything more than "pure horse crap." I said K-State treated them like an FCS opponent. People are hating on the win against ISU. My point of view is that it has been like every ISU victory the last five years. In other words, it's not even worth bringing up. However, people around here see it as doom and gloom.

We're probably ranked fairly accurately in the polls. Not good enough to avoid a scare by ISU, but good enough to avoid a L. Good enough to scare Auburn, not good enough to win. 20-25 in the polls feels right to me.

Well, I think the coaching staff knows how to take on Baylor. They did better than I expected last season. I think this team, and, especially, this defense is better than last year. I think Baylor is no better or worse than they were last year. They have home field advantage. All things considered, I believe it will come down to the wire.
