Embarrassing, for Both Teams
« on: September 18, 2014, 10:21:31 PM »
Guys, that was awful.  Your team looked awful and Auburn looked awful.

On serious notes
  • I feel bad for your kicker.  That kid is not gettin' any lovin' anytime soon
  • I see nothing to get excited about with your QB.  How in the hell you consider him a running qb is beyond me.  He looked like Frankenstein when he carried the ball.
  • Both teams looked REALLY slow.  That was an awful game of nothing more than strung out wide plays run to the short side, drops and that Curry guy basically being your offense.
  • Auburn will probably lose 3 or 4 games this season if Gus doesn't figure out how to counter what The Wizard did.
  • Zero flags on KSU, yeah right.  That's realistic.  About as realistic as Auburn dropping all of those passes.  Unreal.
  • The series when Auburn was up 17-7 and in the Red Zone was maybe the worst I have ever seen Auburn under Gus.  Wow.
  • The ESPN slob knobbin' over Auburn got old really quick.  I couldn't imagine watching that as a KSU fan.
  • For the 19 points you left on the field, I think Auburn had 21 or so on dropped long passes and missed, easy interceptions.  I cannot believe you made our D look that competent.
  • I noticed that someone said something about Auburn having KSU's calls.  I really believe that Auburn has something going on in this department.  Gus has someone scouting teams way ahead of time imo.  Happened vs FSU too.
  • While that offsides on 4th and 1 was awful, the shuffle pass you guys pulled off later in the game was equally as beautiful.  Nice play

On more serious notes
  • What's wrong with your stadium?  Could you guys not afford the rest of the lego pieces needed to build it? ~56k is your 5th largest crowd ever?
  • You guys mock the South?!?!  I think I spotted the first minority in the crowd during the 3rd quarter!!!
  • I like how you had SEC printed on all of those signs around your stadium.  We know you want in, we'll see if we can kick out Vandy and make room for you.
  • Your crowd and student section looked amped up but may have some of the lamest movements I've ever seen.  Really, it was bad.
  • Crowd shots   Might want to get some stair masters out there for your ladies.

Thanks for being the first road win vs a top 20 opponent for Auburn in 30 years.  Sorry it was such an awful game to watch.  Thankfully the NFL game was even worse

 :flush:

Nobody considers the dude a running QB.

I've lived in the South for twenty years and South dwellers are the last people to talk about the fitness of any other collective group of people (you probably posted that in between bites of fat back and cracklins)

Well, I like our stadium and crowd and I'm sure that I would think that your stadium and crowd was stupid if I ever saw it.

Having followed facilities improvements for years, the $87 million K-State spent on the West Stadium Center equals nearly the entirety of Auburn expenditures on all football facilities in the last 30 years.

The commentary around how this game will be used in committee, potentially, are very true.  Auburn will lose major brownie points for looking so poor tonight, despite the D looking so good.

All I heard, the last three weeks, was how Waters had so many yards vs ISU and would run rampant on Auburn.

I do find it ironic that a lot of commentary on here was that KSU would let Auburn just run play after play and let them make the mistakes and take advantage.  It was like the majority of the predictions on here are exactly how Auburn won on D.

Are you the guy that goes around the country and takes pics of all the stadiums/arenas?  If so, I enjoy that thread when it comes up.

What dumbass said Waters would "run rampant" on Auburn.   It's not our fault you choose to listen to dumbasses.

I'm fairly rough ridin' positive Auburn is cheating in some way similar to how New England was cheating a few years ago when it comes to getting the opposing offense's plays.  But Auburn cheating is nothing new.

It was all on here.  Nothing but talk about how awesome your QB was.  That Curry kid looked good on offense.  Rest looked slow and stale.  The Wildcat was awful sans that one TD you got out of it.  Loved when I saw that formation, knew you were going nowhere.

Seriously, you are a rough ridin' idiot if you thought Waters was a "run first" QB.

Then you just don't get this board bro.   Sorry it's over your head.

I'd love to see who said Waters was going to "run rampant".

Also, what's wrong with your field?  Can you not grow grass in Kansas, corn only?  :Carl:  Saw lots of players from both teams slipping all over the place.   Led to Auburn's first TD (nice tackling on the back end of that) and also led to a lot of bad misplays on D.

And I like this board, but the truth under it all was that you guys thought Waters was a game changer and he definitely was not.

We really just thought the team was mentally tough and trusted the gameplan. 3 missed field goals, a lost fumble inside our 20, and a dropped pass off the chest for an int by one of the top wide receivers in America turned a laugher of a win into a close loss to prove otherwise. It sucks.
