Legend. What a way to go out. He's the greatest SS ever and a top 5 player of all time.

maybe in yankees history

He's not even one of the top ten players in franchise history.

Jeter is historically one of the worst defensive shortstops to ever play the position. He had a negative defensive WAR 17 of his 20 seasons. Pud.

He maybe 10th, but definitely after: Ruth, Mantle, Maris, Berra, Mattingly, Rivera, Ford, Dimaggio, and Gehrig (not necessarily in that order).

You dumbasses are getting ready to celebrate making the playoff to get into the ACTUAL playoffs. Good rough ridin' grief. Call me when you win a trophy, losers.

You don't think the Royals playing in the post season is worthy of celebrating? I'm not going to apologize for being happy about the Royals playing well and accomplishing something significant.

Win the wildcard game then celebrate is all I'm saying.

Or we could celebrate twice. That's double the celebrations.

CF3, you'll have to forgive ERiI... He made a bet with Stevesie a couple of months ago* that the Royals wouldn't make the playoffs.

* This was the moment I knew the Royals would make the playoffs. It was about midway through our 26-8 stretch, but anyone who has ever made a bet with Stevesie knows that Stevesie never loses bets. It was a dumbass bet by a dumbass Yankees fan.

Oh yeah I understand. I've acted like a giant baby (like ERII is doing right now) when I've lost bets before.

This is a great point. I mean, give Scott Elarton enough time, and he could have put up some nice totals, too.

Definitely not in the top 10 Yankees. Maybe top 15...probably top 20.

I played basketball against Elarton twice our senior year and he started a brawl in both games. The first game he called our point guard a spic and the second game he elbowed our 12th man in the face when they were down 40 in the fourth quarter.

He's from Lamar, CO which has to be the most :opcat: place west of the Mississippi

I will just go ahead and leave this here.  Really, i dont need to @ ell roberson, main reason, I mean did you read ERII posts?  If you had the unfortunate scenario of actually reading the pro-Jeter posts.  I am sorry.

I really dont need to add anything to this, its pretty well said, and very sad.

The timing of that Olbermann rant was unnecessary and one of the biggest look at me moments in the history of television.

Do you really expect anything else from him though? (not saying it's excusable)

Someone must have hacked ERII's account a couple weeks ago. He's been a huge Royals fan ever since I've known him.
