I had a dream last night that in our next Big 12 game against Texas that we kneeled the ball every single play. We lost 80 - 0 but we all walked out of the stadium flipping the bird. In the press conference Paul Rhoads says nothing, just picks up the mic, drops it, and walks out flipping the bird again.

That was a good point, and again, they we're mumped on the call and didn't get kissed.  :th_twocents:

Also, I wonder if the fatman was urging JP on.  We all remember the famous KU vs. Texas presser a few years back.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Just such a tacky move.  Could you even fathom currie coming down during a press conference and hounding the refs on behalf of snyder?
He should, maybe we wouldn't get the bad calls.  The fumble rolled off our guys chest.

Losing badly on purpose seems like a bad way to stick it to the Big XII.  Could be wrong though.

They actually think we are going to kick them out. This might be more plausible than I originally thought.

I just hate ISU so much because of what losers they are.  They deserve to get stuffed in trashcans every week.

Stuffed in trashcans?  You mean like Jeffry Dahmer style?   :sdeek:

That AD rant is the most i-state0 thing i've ever seen.  Complaining you had a few bad calls in a game where you just got throttled up and down the field is even more losery than i'd previously thought ISU capable of.

The Charles fumble was the right call. You have to control the ball to the ground and, like you said, it rolled off of his chest.

He was on his back , which was on the ground.  Should have been a dead ball before it even rolls off the guy's chest.

He didn't have control. The nose of the ball was between his wrist and his chest when he hit the ground. It wouldn't have counted as a catch, think of it that way.

I think I'm going to watch the Paul Rhodes show for the first and last time ever tonight

Please provide a recap.  TIA.

First segment filled with we had lots of heart and played hard. Rhodes is proud of the defensive game plan. The play by play guy said "some things didn't go our way."

Second segment were highlights, no talk about the play from Rhodes but they did show it twice and I'm honestly not sure how they determined they got screwed.

There is nothing else going to happen so I'm leaving to go to the Sunday live sports call in show.

When a player's knee, hand, elbow or back hit the ground before the ball is out of a player's grasp, the ball(play) is dead.

They keep talking about all of the times the big 12 has apologized to them, but the conference has never done that. They confuse statements from the conference because of the insane amount of whining they do with apologies.

In the KU basketball game the conference said mistakes were made, they never said "Niang should have been awarded a charge." There was no call made, the conference said there should have been a call, it could have been a block or charge.

The UT football game in which they thought they recovered a fumble on the goal line, the conference statement said they got it right. Same with the Lockett call this year, the conference suspended the replay officials but said there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the call.

For the most part, they don't like what Pollard did, everyone wants to know what this vote is he mentioned though.

First off, don't ever mention a KU/ISU bball game in this thread. Secondly, ISU did get effed in that UT/ISU game.

So you lose by 2 TD's and a field goal but a 'could have gone either way' call in the 1st half was the difference in the ball game?   In just lurking in a couple of other boards over the weekend for many viewers it was a very close call.

As stated, the Lockett catch did not have enough evidence to overturn and was probably the right call to begin with per "the picture".

How about putting yourself in a position where extremely close calls don't matter?

i think BITB would make a good cyclone fan.  i remember him going on a long rant on day when he found out that the replay officials were forced to use 19 inch monitors.
"we're the big 12, can't we afford a larger monitor than 19 inches????"

Nope.  Impossible to tell when he was down/when ball came out.

It might not be possible to kick ISU out of the Big 12 (or it might be, not sure), but it seems like we should at least be able to dissolve the conference and create a new one that doesn't have them in it.

every conference needs a doormat.  iowa state and ku serve that roll in the big 12. we don't want to kick them out.

We could replace ISU with a new doormat like CSU who would be fun to travel to games against and would not bitch and moan all the time.
