They are still shitty regardless of that second half. This is a ridiculously slow defense that can't get to the qb. The LB corp is horrendous.

Thank goodness Mark Mangino led offenses are known to stall often. That's why he was quietly ushered out the door at OU into the head job at KU, and that's why KU's offense didn't get better until Ed Warinner w/Todd Reesing. He's essentially a slightly worse version of Dana Dimel and Del Miller.

Pressure seemed ok as the game went on, but tackling was pretty crap, Richardson was good at evading. Held them to 320 yards which seems decent, especially after that quarter where they had all the momentum in the world!

I still can't get my head wrapped around the fact that Snyder has now been back for 5 seasons and we still roll a slow ass set of flailers out there on defense.

It just really speaks to how inept Snyder and staff have been at recruiting.

I just don't get it. Where the hell is the talent? rough ridin' McNeese State looked more talented, no joke, I just watched the recording. It's completely unacceptable and Snyder shouldn't get a pass because of who he is. If there are better players then play them, if not then it's time to step down...

I was thinking the same thing, I watched some of McNeese State's game and one my first thoughts was that they have more f_cking athletes out on the field than K-State does.

But Bill's gonna Bill, and that demands being perfect in practice.

I LOL'd when he said he had two note cards and tape recorder full of mistakes in the presser today, and I thought that no amount of coaching them up is going to change the fact that we roll a whole bunch of untalented slow ass white guys out there.

What is wrong with you people seriously. What do u expect with walkons and ju-co recruits this is how Snyder made his legacy. You r not going to get top 10 caliber play out of this program. a win is a win yes it was sloppy but has this ever been different in Snyder football?? Truman was not injured BTW he just sucks right now walk ons take awhile to being to play football.

when was the last time we had 9 penalties in the first half? this kind of stuff is sloppy, and it never happens

Why do announcers always say that Snyder coached teams never have penalties? Why do fans think that? I'm not saying that 9 is normal, but the way some announcers carry on with that point is ridiculous.

The teams in Snyder's second go around have seemed to be better at eliminating penalties. However, I remember the KSU teams during the late 90s early 00s routinely having 10+ penalties a game.

Last year K-State came in 4th, behind KU [12 games], Navy and Air Force, in fewest penalties (~3.75/game).

Back during the pinnacle of Snyder I, we weren't rolling out one former walk-on after another to start at linebacker. We recruited better DT's even in the early days of Snyder I, than the one's we recruit now.

It's been five years, we're 42-22 since Snyder's return, which is great, and the walk-on story is a sweet little K-StateO story, but if you have that many guys who started out as walk-ons ultimately playing in front of guys you gave scholarships to right out of the gate. Maybe it's time to analyze just what it is you're doing out on the recruiting trail.
