And the good news: The Prius battery is designed for at least 100,000 miles, and the vast majority do just that.

They just don't seem cost effective yet until they lower there costs on either the cars or on the batteries.
in the end, EMAW will always win.

They are close to cost effective if you do a lot of city driving, but not quite there. Not far off though, the decision comes down to are you willing to spend a bit more to help the environment.
timing belt and water pump on a honda would cost you $1000-$1200
Quote from: pissclams on April 11, 2010, 09:38:53 PMtiming belt and water pump on a honda would cost you $1000-$1200maybe, with labor and if you took it to a dealer.

LOL at your dumbass $100 estimate and stupid reason for not driving a hybrid. there's a myriad of good reasons not to drive a hybrid. you should pick one that actually makes sense.

Quote from: CNS Casey on April 09, 2010, 03:33:19 PMThought you were referring to a commemorative plate. Got exited, then there was the BS about your fracking car. Who cares about that? Actually, Doom is working on a series of commemorative plates featuring each of the moderators in gladiator attire. This aren't for everyday use, these are intended for wall hanging or other display in a place of prominence.
