Be sure to stop by Call Hall on campus and get some ice cream. It's damned good stuff.

Didn't have time to read the first 3 pages of the thread, so I don't know if anybody has mentioned the burger at Kite's yet or not... But, I saw WackyCat and his crew all enjoying them this past weekend and they couldn't have been more pleased.

Manhattan is a lot like Alabama, minus all the racism and illiteracy and smelly toothless people and poverty.

Since you'll be in the area, I'd take your family to historic downtown Ogden. They'll love it!

I'm so sick of people suggesting people from out of town go to call hall for ice cream as like one of the first things they should do in town. Its rough ridin' ice cream. It's not that big a deal.

Also, an OZ themed winery in Wamego.  Drop by and taste some of the wines.  Forewarning: Midwesterners love sweet wines, so you'll find a lot of THAT.  :Yuck:

if you see an older man with a foam finger come up to your tailgate and take your food, get really mad at him

He will try to make demands about what food you give him and how it is cooked, but tell him beggars can't be choosers.

I had a very hard time not freaking out on him, and whomever invited him into our tailgate, last year at that one batcats' game.

He walked straight up to the grill and started rummaging through the food that my roommate and I had cooked. I don't like that most of his unacceptable behavior is condoned just because it's him carrying out the action. Mental health problems or not, the way he conducts himself at K-State sporting events shouldn't be tolerated.

Why don't you reenact that scene from Notorious with him. You can be Biggie. Robert will play Lil' Kim.

If you do get a craving for squirrel or possum remember folks in Kansas don't eat them.

Make sure you take the walk from Higginbotham gate, through the Marina Kistler Beach Musuem of Art arched walk way, up past Danforth Chapel, past McCain Auditorium and the War Memorial (not for dead eagles BTW) and then to historic Anderson Hall (with new renovated restrooms and time capsule under construction).

Most beautiful campus walk ever, anywhere . . . no dying trees with toilet paper all over the place either.

It's like Dax has the route I took home from Aggieville while blacked out last year memorized.
