FSD was right. SEC sucks. Also it's hilarious the talent gap between the KSUs and OSUs. Their third string qb is this good.

kirk is usually fine, but he just wasn't very good today.  fowler is a dud of a play by play guy, but he's much better than rece davis (who apparently he was in competition with for the slot).

verne and gary are the best duo out there (although i liked gary a lot more when he wasn't such an SEC blowhard).  nessler and blackledge are very good too.

i really miss the joel meyers, dave lapham, and knoxy trio.

I like a lot of what you say, but when you go that whole post without mentioning Mus you start to lose me.

Side note: Lapham is an underrated gem. He's perfect for the games he calls.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Gary D called the 99 Cats-Nebraska game. I was watching an old tape my dad had made for me - the in-game highlights included a tribute to Jerry Sandusky for his last game at PSU, and a come from behind win for the Wolverines led by backup qb Tom Brady.

Thoughts on ESPN's new corner score graphic?

They've conditioned me to looking for it in the top left. I don't like change.

I really like it and hope it becomes the new thing.

They tested it out during the New Orleans Bowl, and I thought it was pretty great.

Still think this game should be on ABC and not ESPN. I don't like championship events on cable.

musberger and kirk used to be my favorite.  i didn't listen to mussy once this year and i have no idea who his partner is these days.

FWIW, Gary Thorne (did KSU v UT 2006) may just be BITB, but he'd rather do Hockey and baseball than CFB.

Whoever said that Blackledge is a lot like Danielson (Dlew?) is right on the money.

Such a treat that Gary D. did the 2003 Dr. P.
