I really just want Prewett, Clinks, Geary, and Dvonta to be studs on our defense so bad. I also wouldn't mind seeing AJ Allen on the o-line.

The depth chart barely changed all last year.  Everyone speculated that Slaughter and Roberts would be on the bench by conference.  Didn't happen.

Snyder doesn't play head games with playing time.  He plays who gives him the best chance to win.  Sometimes that is a freshman.  (Gronk)  More often than not, it is a veteran. (Slaughter, Roberts)

When I look at last year's depth chart, the only change that I could have seen justified is Sams over Waters, but Sams was hurt and missed a number of practices during fall camp and I think that's a big reason why Waters beat him out for NDSU.

You can't just look at last years starting and finishing depth chart to predict how it will work this year. I don't remember having highly talented JUCO guys arriving late last year with a crap ton of potential. I also don't remember having several freshman studs that were capable but inexperienced last year. It's a completely different scenario.

3 studs plus a big TE and a RB that can block and we should be just fine.

Last year the only two Juco that had a chance to move up into the depth chart were Nate Jackson (Got hurt) and Dakorey Johnson (Got in super late)

This year we have more suitable options that can ramp up; Davonte, Clinkscales, Riddle, Allen, Hayes and Davis. Maybe one of them can break into the starting line up.

Jordan Willis seemed to be the only freshmen that had a chance to grow into a starter. He didn't. This year we have Prewett the Lee.

So maybe by the end of the season two or three starters could of changed.

False.

Because the feeling of entitlement had set in after winning the Big12 'ship & leading up to the '13 season, I have it on good authority that Snyder "took their legs" from them via excessive conditioning leading up to the opener and really thought we could still pull out a win vs NDSU.  In hindsight, our kids were gassed in the fourth and couldn't stop the bizon and we all know how it turned out.  Had nothing to do with the depth chart.

It would be nice, but I'm betting we only lead by 2 scores at the end of the 3rd quarter.

I was very impressed with Drew Liddle in 2012 when he got in for garbage time a center and thought kinda sucks he behind Finney, Stiverson and Whitehair. I fell really good about the interior line and Whitehair.
