They waived the military vet longsnapper from UT to sign Waters.

I like the charity move by the hawks. guy can't make it in Jacksonville and they don't want him to feel terrible about himself, leave the nfl with a good taste in his mouth. class organization

From a Seahawks website

"Jake Waters has a Matt Hasselbeck sidearm-esque throwing motion, but it gets the job done. His motion is fluid and body snap is natural. He nailed Kasen Williams on a vertical route with perfect touch and accuracy early in practice. He didn't take team reps but he looked a lot better than Archer."

He will have a longer NFL career than Freeman.

Other tidbits

BJ Finney played well in his 2nd preseason game.  Graded out as the 3rd best player that day for the Steelers.  Played more snaps than any other lineman.  This was a good sign bc he struggled in the first preseason game.  He's right on the border of making the 53 man vs practice squad.  It'll come down to the end

Randall Evans was really helped by JaCorey Shepard's season ending injury.  Shepard is the Squak that was drafted a few picks before Evans.  Darren Sproles trucked him, and Shepard tore something in his right leg.  Shepard was looking really good, and was starting in the Eagles nickel package.  Evans is also right on the border of 53 man vs practice squad.  It'll come down to the end as well.

Sproles taking out a fellow cat to help bump him up the chart.

Are you really this Naive about college QB's. I mean you love the receivers, but absolutely hate the guy who puts that piece of pie in their arms while they're being chased by massive grown men wanting to rip their heads off. Just saying...

Freeman hate is always funny to me.
I mean, Freeman gets 1/4 the hate that Waters gets. Also, if you've actually IRL been around the two, the Freeman hate is actually warranted. He's kind of a piece of crap, soooo.... This isn't a #family thing. However, I get it, Waters is from Iowa, Iowa State, hur hur hur...

you're right. I meant white and not Sams (who split time w/ 3 QB's at an FCS school who barely finished in the top 25 last year and he still couldn't stay healthy).

I'm the exact opposite of drinking the rough ridin' kool-aid. You think appreciating waters is on the right side of this board? I'm just trying to keep it neutral and see both sides. At least I can actually spit pros for Sams, unlike the other side.

judging waters as superior just because he has the single season passing record is letting bloated stats cloud your judgement. football is a team sport, when you have someone like lockett who is among the best at his position in the country, that can hide many defects to your game. but if you let stats be the judge, well he's the GOAT

@dodtake2 I don't hate the guy. I've always liked him for who he is/was, but seeing him at parties the night before a game passed out on the beer pong table, trying to hit 1000 girls before he left K-State for some self made bronze male genitals trophy he wanted to make himself and being a heavy smoker (cigs) through the process, never sold me as a guy who gave a eff about our school. Call me a tuck, that's fine, but I always felt he was ready for his pay day. Granted, I never had that opportunity, so I understand that the guy wanted to do what he wanted to do, but he'll never be in my top 5 as a K-State QB. I just felt like Ron sold him to get him here and he took advantage by not giving two fucks.

Also, I was his personal campus tour guide, so maybe I was too close to the situation.
