Eagles signed No. 196 overall pick CB Randall Evans to a four-year contract.

A sixth-round pick, Evans fits the Eagles' scheme as a rangy corner with plus speed. He stands a good chance of making the 53-man roster.

Why would they already give him a 4 year contract?

Thought WR Tyler Lockett made the flashiest debut in @seahawks rookie minicamp on Friday … sure-handed and nifty with receptions and returns

Most, if not all, rookies sign a four year contract(the lengthiest deal allowed for draftees). It gives the team leverage as most of the contract isn't guaranteed.

Here's a pretty funny little story about TLBL. He was in this professional selling class at K-State and in that class you have to give a couple selling presentations. He made a video for one and in that video it was him selling Nike like a stud. He'd be wearing Adidas and would drop every pass that came his way....but then when he superman'd up and switched to Nike, he never dropped another pass. Why is this such a great story now?

He's a great salesman for Briggs; so the class must have helped.  Of course the frame doesn't hurt either.
