Harp was cut yesterday. Not sure about TTT. They haven't showed him much on the show.

A handful of former Kansas State football players were cut this week ahead of a 3 p.m. Tuesday deadline to trim NFL?rosters down to 75 players.

One of the more surprising cuts was Washington Redskins’ linebacker Rob Jackson. The former defensive lineman spent six seasons with the Redskins and made 15 career starts, but he missed the first four games last season after testing positive for a banned substance.

Jackson had 71 tackles, 7.5 sacks and five interceptions in his six seasons. He had just three tackles in three preseason games prior to his release.

Running back William Powell will also be looking for a new team after getting cut by the Houston Texans.

Powell played in 13 games and made one start for the Arizona Cardinals in 2012, but he’s yet to stick with a team since. He averaged less than 2.5 yards per carry in two preseason games with the Texans.

Wide receiver Chris Harper will be looking for his fourth team after getting cut by the Green Bay Packers. Harper was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2013 and then assigned to the practice squad. He was then signed by the San Francisco 49ers before being waived a few weeks into the season. The Packers signed him and he made limited appearances in special teams coverage.

Harper played in three games this preseason and made five catches for 89 yards.

A pair of K-State rookies were also released. Safety Ty Zimmerman was cut by the New Orleans Saints after missing the last two preseason games with an undisclosed injury. Although some reports have the Saints possibly assigning Zimmerman to injured reserve. The Junction?City product had five tackles in his preseason debut for the Saints.

Receiver Tramaine Thompson was released after appearing in just two of the Atlanta Falcons’ three games and making one catch for 13 yards.

Rooks is listed #3 @ LT on the Saints Depth Chart

The Saints DID add Ty to their Reserved/Injured list

Daniel Thomas is still listed @ #2 on RB depth chart for Dolphins, behind Lamar Miller, but ahead of Knowshon Moreno...I've still seen some bloggers that think D-Train is a cut possibility...

Snyder isn't there to coach them up? These guys aren't as talented as the players Snyder had in his first go around. Maybe they just maxed out their potential under Snyder?

QB Matt Scott (undrafted, Arizona), G Will Simmons, WR Willie Snead, DB Rod Sweeting, LB Trevardo Williams, (QB, 2013 fourth-round pick) Tyler Wilson, TE Brian Wozniak, LB Steve Beauharnais, DB Deveron Carr, (OT, Boston College) Emmett Cleary, WR Juron Criner, G Adam Gettis, WR Patrick Edwards, DT Dominique Hamilton and WR Chris Harper, a former fourth-round pick that spent time on the Packers' roster when Ben McAdoo was there.

Diles is going after a spot w/ AZ (who already has committed almost 20% of their roster to LB's)

The Cardinals may have kept 11 linebackers on their roster but that doesn’t mean all 11 jobs are safe. Arizona tried out four linebackers on Tuesday, according to ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates. James Anderson, Zac Diles, Moise Fokou and Yawin Smallwood all worked out in Tempe, Arizona.
