What did I buy clam juice for?

Slice up four slices of bacon, make a roux with the bacon grease and flour, clear shallots in the roux.  Add the clam juice  and two cans of chopped clams.  Boild down a little.  Add cream or whole milk and some chopped potatoes and boom....clam chowder.  Delish.

I do enjoy to cook...but some things just seem like too big of a PITA when so many places do it well....this seems like one of those situations.  I'll donate you the clam juice AND two cans of clams I just found...so that must have been the plan.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Do you guys have stuff that is "too nice to use?"  I hate that.  If it's too nice to use I would rather just throw it away.

Ya maybe?  China, crystal, some expensive knives, a cutting board, some of these wine glasses, some other stuff I'm forgetting right now.  I use it but I get the death stare sometimes.

My mother has a bunch of her grandmother's fiesta-ware and china stashed in some giant, heavy cabinet (I believe it is referred to as a buffet). I'm dreading the day my parents decide to move out of their current home.

For me like China or crystal, okay I get it.  But I am verboten from using even some other more regular stuff, yet it occupies space in my kitchen right next to the stuff I am allowed to use.  Oh, just remembered a wine decanter.  I specifically asked for that to be on the registry because I wanted one, and now I'm not allowed to use it.  Kinda wtf.

I'm here with ya on this one. I use them all from time to time.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
