Rowdy Neighbors

Called the cops last night on my neighbors. They were up being total studs til 3AM (when I decided to call) wanting the whole complex to be part of their celebration or whatever. Went total dgaf but still felt kinda bad. Was I overreacting? Has anyone else done anything similar or approached this differently? Lets hear it.

I use to have a couple who lived above me, that acted/sounded like they were shooting porn all day. I'm sorry, but she had to be faking. Use to piss ms. wacky off quite a bit. Never called the cops on anyone tho. I just bang on ceilings/walls and tell them to stfu!

Call their parents in the middle of the night, introduce yourself as their neighbor, and hold the phone to the ceiling.

Talk to the neighbors and buy some ear plugs. You should never call the cops unless it sounds like acts of violence are occurring, IMO.

What if calling the cops prevents an act of violence? 

What if asking them to quiet the eff down on a Monday night at 3am doesn't work?

I mean, if it is a one time thing, who cares.  What if it happens often?

You should ask them to quiet down first and then call the cops if they don't quiet down within a reasonable amount of time (30 minutes).

It's about neighbors, calm and rowdy.  It's all encompassing.  There is strong precedent for master threads here.  Am I mistaken?
