What is your favorite amateur firework to purchase and light off to celebrate our Independence?

I have no idea what they are called.  I am usually well into my cocktail sesh by the time we buy them, but they are a short 8" tube(or so) with some stuff you drop in and light.  It mortars up in the air and blows up and basically looks like small time driveway version of the bigger ones you see at shows.  Buy a bunch, twist like four together at a time and enjoy.

Also, I fill a 5gal bucket up with water and get the biggest waterproof things I can get and spray water everywhere until the kids get bored or the bucket breaks.

Pretty great time.

Mortars are great.

Neighbor of my parents has their grown kids back, and they all sit in their front yard with Black Cats.  They sit in lawn chairs lighting and throwing Black Cats at some pots that have water in them.  When they nail one, it blows a bunch of water in the air.  Looks fun, but I am not allowed to light and throw fire crackers.
