If you see someone drinking wine of any kind, take it from them and throw it on the ground. This isn't France's Independence Day fellas.

My sister actually just asked my wife to bring a gourmet cheese to our party at my folks place.  I think it's a foreign cheese.

don't throw it away. save it for saturday.

full disclosure: i love foreign cheeses. (see picnic at shakes in the park in dating thread)

Bring a stack of 64 Kraft American Singles. If they don't like it that's their problem.

Is there a better 4th of July binge beer than Miller 64?  I would submit that there is not.  You can drink a whole 30 pack and never catch a full buzz.  Plus you can work off all of the calories consumed while binging by running to the pisser every 5 minutes.  Brilliant.

I am starting at 10 AM or so, maybe later if the charcoal gives me probs.  I am going to smoke all day long.  4 slabs, a brisket, two small pork butts, a big turkey (experimental), 20+ dry rubbed Italian sausages.

Deviled eggs, cucumber salad, corn, etc.

It's going to be really great.

Def doing a juiced up fruit melon.  Cut off top of watermelon and clean it out.  Melon ball 'melon, 'loupe, and honeydew.  Dump balls into cleaned out melon and mix in grapes and any other fruit you like.  Dump in your favorite vodka, cover with top of melon, and refridgerate overnight.  Break out and enjoy the next day

Gonna slam craft beers all day, dad is making barbecue, (probably a few slabs, pork butts, chicken, home made sausage and maybe a brisket), shoot off boatloads of fireworks and just basically party rock all day
:adios:

How big of a turkey are you smoking?  I've only smoked breasts before but they turn out amazing every time.  Interested to see how your full one turns out.

Hey guys, just came up with the perfect 4th of July recipe: buds, brats, babes, butts, boobs, bros, (summer) brew, bacon, BOOM!, etc. B^8 son!

brother is grilling tri tip on friday, i'm smoking short ribs on saturday.  we will drink all  the beer in la cygne, ks.

Guys talk to me about summer cocktails.  Pretty big 'tail rook' over here.

in a blender put a can of either frozen lemonade or limade concentrate (go crazy and do both), add vodka, add ice, blend, pour in a glass or cup, binge

A LOT of you are going to get yourselves hurt if you take on too much on the Fourth.

You are going to want to go out on your decks TONIGHT and grill some burgers and hot dogs, and get your timings/heat down before Friday.  While you are doing that, and this is absolutely key, you should be rough ridin' POUNDING cheap domestic beer.  I mean it.  You should be a solid 5 before the food even gets off the grill.  A ton of guys fail to do this, and then on Friday, under game day tempo, their bodies do not know how to react.  Happens all the time.

Pros (your Clams, your Limestones) will work on their system repeatedly throughout the early summer.  Clams has a 6 White Russian - 6 Deviled Egg cooking routine that is very repeatable and very effective.  Limestone, on the other hand may not be the gourmet that Clams is, but he will wreck a 12 pack just getting the god damn propane hooked up...
This is fantastic. This would be a phenomenal training regimen for tailgate season as well!

Thinking about doing some Mint Juleps this weekend.  Tom Collins is also a good summer drink/

This is the Fourth of July, not the running of the Kentucky Derby. Beer and BBQ, then more beer and BBQ.

Oh make no mistake about it, I will be crushing plenty of brews in the next few days.      But it's going to be a long hot weekend so by Saturday evening I'll be ready to switch it up with something different.  Minty or citrusy cocktails go pretty well with hot weather and IMO Mint Juleps are underrated and should be enjoyed more than just once a year at Derby time.

I've entered swole mode (I call it BTTW) so beer is no longer on the menu.  Cocktails it must be.

I know I'm gonna smoke something on the Traegar this holiday weekend... but can't for the life of me decide what just yet.

Ribs?  Brisket?  Ribs & Brisket?  I just don't know, guys.
