Very few games go to the ninth inning without the losing team having a good chance to win. Basketball and football games are often over with 5+ minutes left. Nope, not baseball.

would be an interesting stat.  I'd figure the percentage chance of winning a game, when trailing going into the ninth, is quite low.

There isn't a better feeling in sports than smacking a ball over the outfielder's head and diving head first into third for a triple.

Most summer nights if I didn't have practice or a game, I played catch with my Dad in the backyard. Mom would do the dishes and let us know when it was time for dessert.

Chewing way too much bubble-gum Big League Chew and pretending you're Lenny Dykstra.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Even when you're MLB team is bad, they still win pretty often. Like, even when the Royals stink they still win 2 or 3 a week.

I know this is luked but there really is no better sports feeling (in a general way) than hitting a ball and watching it soar.

Baseball would be great if they had an offensive team and a defensive team.  Basically 9 DH's and 9 fielders who never bat.

that would be pretty sweet, but who in their right mind would ever want to be a defense-only player?

Players who can't hit. Like 90% of all second basemen.

how is it any different than pitchers not batting in the AL?
