I went to my first NBA game last night. It was fun! Lots of sensory stimulation! The game went by quickly because there was so damn much going on everywhere.

Which game

Nuggets at Pacers. It was close until the end when the Nuggets just dumped the ball down to Jokic over and over and he made every shot he took.

That's awesome chum1. Never been to a game but I imagine its mind-blowing with all the big crazy athletic people, and then there's all the fun stuff that goes on during breaks.

I've been to a few Bulls games.  Was very fun in 2014 the game before the playoffs.  Since then, they have been bad, and games weren't as fun.  Did get to see Westbrook and Oladipo playing for OKC a couple years ago.  Westbrook was great to see live.

Like, my impression from regular season NBA games on TV is that there would be very few fans and a pretty lackadaisical environment. Those Pacers fans were pretty great, though. They were super into it.

I've been to two NBA games. Heat/Thunder and some Phoenix game. Both were regular season and pretty boring.  :dunno: I'm sure the playoffs would be a blast though.

I never thought I could root for Chris Paul but he's made the Thunder lovable

RIP Mamba

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Don't know how many of you listen to Pardon My Take but it's absolutely disheartening to hear those guys be somber for an entire episode. Immediately took me out of the shock of the news and into grieving.

Uncomfortable lol ts the bachelor not editing out from the credit scene from monday night's episode when the date yelled "kobe!" for the bachelor as he shoots and proceeds to brick his like 10th shot in a row.

Didn't watch, but it sounds like it was a great all-star game. Every single person on Twitter other than MIR appears to have loved the Elam Ending

I know it was one game but I'm more pissed at everyone who thought that it was a success. They clearly would have been blowing it no matter what. Agendites.

The point of the Elam Ending is to shorten the amount of time the end of game situation is supposed to take. It took at least 20 minutes of real time for the two teams to essentially race to see who could score 2 baskets first. It absolutely didn't save time, and this was an all star game, I can't believe how long it would have taken if it were a meaningful regular season game or a playoff game.

Too many timeouts, too many and way too lengthy reviews, and really really really bad offensive basketball. The flow was garbage. It finally ending with Anthony Davis making the second of two free throws, after badly bricking the first, was just perfect.

Some of that seems easy to fix. Limit timeouts after the target score is set, free throws take away the other teams points when you are within one.

Instant replay is bad. Didn't watch last night but if they can't figure it out in 30 seconds, the original call stands. Or don't have it at all

NBA officials will also let a soft foul go in exchange for letting a team keep possession.  Then a challenge happens and they have to change it to a turnover (although maybe not now that you can challenge fouls).  I remember this happening to Chris Paul late in a playoff game and it was ridiculous.
