got golf all day up to the WC at 2 that leads up to pregame for the finals :idk:

New Years Day had become incredibly watered down over the last 10 years or so with multiple boring Big 10 games in the early part of the day and usually the crappiest match up of the BCS bowls at night but I have high hopes for a bounce back with the playoff system.

While it's definitely NCAA opening round, I'll throw in Indy 500/Coke 600 day for the rednecks.

the best day is when KSU FB, Royals, and SKC play on the same day. my god it's like caring about stuff overload

I voted for today out of the two options. There have definitely been better sports days, but today is right up there with any of them. Agree with mocat, per usual.

I voted for the golf/NBA/WC one because the NBA is my favorite sports league, but... FWIW Sunday will be 1000x better than today for each of those events.

NOTE: If K-State is playing then this obviously changes.
