the 1-2-1 talking point is dumb, saying we were outmatched and outplayed by Belg and Germ is correct tho.

On our heels against Ghana most of the match too due to early goal and Jozy injury.

I still think we performed well. We were possibly a good Michael Bradley away from the QFs (maybe winning our group)

meh, Ghana with their athletes and a goal down, and our point man down is expected to attack the way they did. If Jozy is healthy we would have had a lot more possession and chances since he was the only player on our team who could hold the ball up and be a point guy to bomb passes at. Also MB probably had 4 of his worst games for the USMNT in the past 6 years.

Agreed which is why I mentioned the early goal and Jozy injury. The talking heads on TV are right about MB. He's playing out of position. That doesn't help.

Probably to the avg soccer fan. Which is probably 90% of America and this board, which I totally get, but soccer/WC is a different monster.

only relevant as far as winning the group to secure a favorable round of 16 matchup.  trade a single draw for a win and you'll often be playing a runner-up instead

Just made a bet on today and tomorrow's matches. I had to take CR, but could pick the others.

France, Colombia, and Argentina! 9 total goals!

Tobias, I'm a huge soccer fan now, obviously, but it makes me uncomfortable to cheer for France on the 4th of July.
