hey team usa, are you ready to play the biggest game of your life?
nope, need 24 more hours.  now beat it.
im not saying we cant "get up" for the game, but im under the impression that fresh legs are a pretty big deal in soccer.

lsiq btw

You're 100% right. Anyone that knows anything about soccer (very few people on gE) will agree with me.

How many days does it take for legs to get fresh? Don't these guys play multiple games per week on the reg?

Yes, and they get tired AF and play games without being 100% all the time.

starting to think sunny cat knows nothing about sports/exercise/soccer
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Those misspellings are pretty adorable, Wacky. And I'm not sure. Probably eventually, at least for a little while.

roster management is a real problem for club teams that are in the champions/europa leagues and have to play games mid-week in addition to the usual weekend games.  i think JK did a good job bringing yedlin last night and letting him run around for a while and get used to things

this isn't about 4 days being enough, it's about the measurable advantage that 24 extra hours gives germany.  the discussion is an idiotic one brought forth by a lower divisional poster.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I'm a lot more worried about this game because Germany is better than us than I am because they get 4 days rest to our 3.

at least upper divisional poster Rage Against the McKee has brought some common sense to the discussion

Guys, I have an idea on how to over come.

Just brainstorming here, but let me know what you think:

We should make our guys eat an extra three meals and stuff between now and then.  Pretty much guarantees that their bodies will be tricked into thinking they got an extra day of rest.  Maybe put their apartment lights on a timer that replicates a day's worth of change in only 16 hrs instead of 24 for the next 3 days.  Would def work if the meal thing didn't.

Someone get the coaches this info stat!

Is there a chance Jozy plays against Germany, and if so what would that percentage be?

Guys even HS aged soccer tourney's have teams playing 4 games in a weekend.  Two on Saturday and two on Sunday.  And we sure as crap didn't have 23 man rosters.  So, like, BFD.

They only run like 10 miles in a match.  Pretty pud.
more like 3. I think the most I've seen is 6km.
