i think it's a pretty american thing to spend 10 minutes reviewing a replay of a ball leaving a guy's fingertips to see if his 3-pointer beat the buzzer or not

to my understanding, it's kind of an unwritten rule not to do that

they will every now and then, but yeah it's more typical to wait for a natural break/change of possession

I guess if it never decides games it works. But seriously, in 2014 time is kept by "kind of an unwritten rule". OK, I'm done.

There's already quite a bit of time wasting when a team is ahead toward the end, and it's no fun to watch.  Without a ref having flexibility to extend time, it would suck 100x more.  Imagine basketball without a shot clock.

Guys, I saw this video of a guy named Pepe on youtube. It looks like he beats people up when the refs aren't paying attention because he likes it. Is this accurate? Is he good?

I think I love Pepe. I'm going to root for Pepe to beat people up the entire time. What team does Pepe play for?

Soccer is like hockey for me. I never played, so I don't really understand the strategy. I just root for cool stuff to happen. Also, it will be fun to troll people when I root against the US and for, who I'm guessing, is a very despised player.

Spain is really good at pretending to be fouled.  Even as a devout soccer fan, it's hard to watch.
