Tide kid is so boss. A bossanova. Casanova and also a boss. Not to be confused with a bossanova beat

Is it illegal to shape your hair in a fashion that makes headers more easy to direct? A wedge shape of sorts?

you get the basic idea though, right?  the actual amount that will get tacked on gets to be pretty easy to guess once you've seen enough games

when play is stopped, the clock keeps going, and the ref decides an amount per half that will get added on so that there will have been 90 minutes of actual play

Yeah, I just don't get why they don't just stop the clock so everyone knows how much time is really left. Is there ever stoppage play added during stoppage play?

it's all in the refs head. if the ref wants 4 minutes of stoppage time, it doesn't mean the game is over at 94:00. it's still up to him to decide when to call the game. plus, if a team is threatening and has possession in the other team's final third, the ref will not end the game until possession is lost or a goal is scored

but he could if he wanted to, right?

to my understanding, it's kind of an unwritten rule not to do that

not stopping is probably just tradition and keeping the game moving along (if someone's truly hurt, drag them off and they'll play either play short-handed until he can get back in or they'll sub him out when they get a chance).  and yeah, they'll continue to extend stoppage time if there's a major injury, obvious time wasting, cards, etc.

they will every now and then, but yeah it's more typical to wait for a natural break/change of possession

i kind of like the stoppage time thing, because if you haven't watched most of the game or whatever, you can get a good feel for how cleanly the game has been played based on the amount of stoppage time

Like the clock, remember when the guy took down the defender in the box and never touched the ball, but it wasn't really a goal scoring opportunity so he awarded a corner kick instead?  That's like a good compromise.

I guess if it never decides games it works. But seriously, in 2014 time is kept by "kind of an unwritten rule". OK, I'm done.

mich- its kind of like the unwritten rule that you dont pay the refs and players to fix the game. it happens all the time but no one really complains. part of the game...
