LSIQ here folks but if a team won by 2 which is basically like 49 in football, how is it the refs fault?

cuz when it was 1-1, the ref called an atrocious yellow card on croatia in the box and gave one of the top 5 players in the world a free kick.

then when it was still 2-1 with a few minutes of regular time left, the ref took the tying goal away from croatia on a bogus contact with the keeper call.

Croatia would have been happy with a tie.  Without that penalty, there's a good chance they would have been playing a much more defensive game at that time rather than pushing players forward.

yeah cf3, imagine if you're watching a cats pigskin game, and for some stupid dumbass reason ties are allowed (can you imagine?), and if the cats tie they win the dr. pepper.

now, say there are three minutes left in a tie game and jack waters is running read options like no one's business in order to run the clock down. now let's say he keeps it and runs (kinda fast!) to the right, and an opposing defender runs up and grabs him in the facemask, and yanks him down, and jack fumbles, and the opposing d picks up the ball and runs it in for a score. there's no penalty! dumbass refs!

now we are down 7 with less than 3 minutes! so jack has to engineer a drive down the field while passing the ball, and while the passes are crisp, on 3rd and 8 he is about to get sacked so he hurls one up and throws a pick 6! so now we're down 14! and if anyone looks at the score man k-state got beat by two touchdowns! but if the refs could do their jobs they would have probably tied! they took away our dr. pepper!

i bet that's kind of how croatia feels.

BUT HE FACEMASKED HIM!!!!! THAT'S THE EASIEST CALL EVER!!!!!! Ok I'm officially going on record saying these refs are anti-cat unless someone can prove different.

I want to World Cup, I really do. But honestly it's going to take quite a bit for me to watch USA! USA! when we play, so watching other games really isn't realistic. I did appreciate the effort to explain what happened to Croatia though.

Watched the highlights. Seems like Croatia's goal tender might not have realized the he is allowed to move side to side. He just stood there in lead boots.

was the disallowed goal following olic's "foul" on julio cesar discussed much?  seems almost as bad as the call against lovren, even though keepers always get the benefit of the doubt

Croatia got jobbed three times that I saw.

The flop and free kick.

The Brazilian grabbing a guy by the shoulders while the Croatian was dribbling, no call. But a little bump later on a Brazilian was called.

Then that BS when the goalie climbed the back of a guy going for a header.

The grabbing the guy didn't seem to matter very much.
