Hey guyz, its ben ji here. Lets talk old timey professions that seem kinda weird or unique, BONUS POINTS if a family member performed them at one time.
My grandpa started working for the Postal Service after WWII. Must of been a mailman, dropping mail off at people's doors n stuff right? Nope, he was an old timey mail sorter guy. He had every zipcode from Kansas/Iowa/Nebraska/Missouri memorized.
Every week he would board a "Mail" train at Union Station and ride that train throughout the midwest picking up/dropping off mail in podunk towns. He and the other Mail sorters would sit in the back of the train and sort the mail by zip codes while still on the train. The train would make a big ole 3 day loop and then return to Kansas City.
THEN THE DAM COMPUTERS CAME AND TOOK HIS JOB(actually he retired with a pension after like 25 years).
