A buddy of mine (ku fan) tried to diminish the Duke NC by saying that Duke didnt deserve it because they only beat a mid major in the CG.  I asked him if he thought KU was better than Duke, to which he quickly replied:  "Hell yes."  I then asked him why ku couldnt beat a mid major.  This logic really pissed him off.

it's a long running inside joke that I'm kind of surprised you haven't picked up on.  Goes back to Prince beating Texas in 2006.
