You sit through the tedious amount of time watching hundreds of punk kids walking to their seats, then listen to some random 18 year old give other 18 year olds life advice, then you listen to some random politician talk about something nobody cares about, and then you sit through the names being called of hundreds of punk kids that you don't care about until you get to the one name you know, and then you sit some more until you go home.

I mean, for fucks sake. I didn't even mention the rednecks blasting airhorns and shouting 'that's my boy!'

And the obligatory, "please save your applause for the end," and then the directly proportional "screams/yells" from family to white trashiness ratio when the kid is announced. "WOOOOO BRANDI, WOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

For some, I am sure this is true. The homecoming king at my school was a multisport hero who ended up getting busted for selling meth out of his factory job locker within 2 years of graduating high school.

In contrast, I knew when I graduated college that the college years would be hard to beat because it was a utopian dream come true...great friends, unbridled freedom, little accountability, hot girls, intellectual expansion, play station...

They're kinda boring but I've been to like 3 ever including my own so its not like a huge chunk of my life. Think of all the precious time wasted on commercials.
