I've had a whole host of mental health issues for the majority of my life. Docs have prescribed lots of meds over the years, and none of them have done jack crap. I've been seeing a psychologist lately though, and he seemed to think that most of my problems were actually just symptoms of having untreated ADHD. He wanted me to see a psychiatrist and get some meds for the condition, I was very  :dubious: due to my previous experiences. Finally bit the bullet though, and today is my first day on ADHD meds. Holy crap, I feel fantastic. First time I've felt genuinely happy, motivated, and clear minded in years.
Where were you when the rest of your college roommates were abusing adderall?

when you are tired of feeling good, you can make FAT STAX selling your stash to college kids and aspiring pro gamers.

I already have some offers, but I just don't have the stomach to be a drug dealer.

This is very interesting.  What were the symptoms they couldn't figure out before this?

I mean this new guy says hey you're suffering from this, but I think it might be related to ADHD.  So obviously it wasn't something that is standard issue ADHD symptoms.

He didn't spot any other symptoms, he's just the first one to suggest that the other mental health issues WERE symptoms of untreated ADHD. I've had other doctors diagnose me with ADHD before, but they were more interested in treating the other stuff first. After doing some reading over the past few weeks, it seems like most of the doctors I've been to before are dumbasses.

Surprisingly well. The crash before bed was very unenjoyable though.

Major depressive disorder, a whole host of sleep disorders (the most common being insomnia), and a variety of anxiety disorders.

See I was not aware of that.  So then you went to doctors before this and they gave you a bunch of anti-depressant medications (like SSRIs) and anti-anxiety medications (like Clonazepam), but they didn't work?

Correct. Sometimes they made things worse, in a couple of cases it was a lot worse.

Some pretty heavy stuff here.   On a lighter note,  Muldoon was once forgotten by the medical staff on the gurney while waiting for a colonoscopy.  More than 24 hours without food, anxiety, and listening to others be wheeled out who arrived after me had me set firmly as the #1 IRL douchebox.

Do not believe. Sorry.
