Weird thing
« on: May 13, 2014, 10:07:08 AM »
So every time I go to a fast food place, or gas station, or really any place where you fill up your own fountain drink a weird thing happens.  I can't find the lids.  It doesn't matter where they are located, I can't find them.  I end up looking all around and sometimes I just wait until someone else gets a lid and then I see them.  If my wife is there I tell her I can't find them and she points them out, usually they were right in front of me.  What is going on?  Why can't I find the lids?

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

What about when you go to a place where you have gotten a drink before?

I don't use lids or straws. What does everyone think of that?

FWIW, the cancer is probably trying to tell you to reuse your cup and lid.  3R's and all.

I don't care for them either. I will use them for practicality. If I'm not taking the cup to go, no lid/ straw for me.

The thing is, I love drinking with a straw.  It's so easy.  You don't even have to tilt your head back or anything.  Also without a straw I always think I might swallow an ice cube, which is terrifying.  For a split second you you think you're going to die.

I always use a straw and most of the time use a lid because I am taking it with me. I mostly drink iced tea though; not fountain pop.

If you don't use a straw there is always that possibility of a piece of ice letting loose and the whole drink spilling in your face.

get LifeAlertTM and go rawdog on that fountain drink.
...and by rawdog i mean, you know, don't use a lid and/or straw.

cups need lids to be structurally sound.
