Good ESPN article about our guy:

http://espn.go.com/blog/big12/post/_/id/84235/qa-former-kansas-state-qbwr-daniel-sams

Good Lord, I love that kid.   Wish like hell he would have tried RB.   The schemes!

So, all the pre-season FCS rankings are coming out and McNeese is a consensus top 10 pick BEFORE DSams is factored into the equation.

Should be a fun ride for our guy.

He won't even start.   Top ten teams aren't looking for a QB.

I sure hope he puts in the work needed to go to the next level.  Let's face it, it will be hard for him to be motivated playing with less talented players.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

That's a very good point...I wondered why he couldn't crack the starting lineup at K-State.  Your explanation is the most plausible yet!

Yet he'll walk right in and dominate at your little community college.

Honest question: Do schools at that level provide all the gear?  Or will he have to go to Academy and pick up some shoes, tape, helmet, etc.

I'll hang up an listen off air.

I wouldn't worry too much about equipment. It'll more than likely be an improvement over what he's used to...

It'll be kinda interesting to see how he'll develop with access to a state of the art weight room and strength program...

One of these is a state of the art Division I Weight room....

The other is Kansas State.

I'm a little embarrassed that there is almost no difference in those weight rooms, but happy we are building a new state of the art football complex after this coming season.

Yes, they're very similar...I mean other than the 50,000 lb disparity in available weight, the number of stations and floor space.  Practically identical...

Although I really try to keep up with the lower level teams, I honestly didn't realize that they play with a pee-wee size ball until now...

It's nice that you guys have a children's souvenir that we give out to kids on display next to your prized LHC Bill Snyder autograph.  What's that word the French use for that?

Oh yeah...."Homage"   ;)

I'd feel bad if I broke the news to FPC about the "kid" who owns these two souvenirs...
