Also, my stan story starts w/ 610. His son (at the time) went to school where I was covering a game for the "high school game of the week". It was a bball game and it was the night before a big matchup (2010?) vs. ku on a Saturday. I was doing sideline reporting for the game and he came over to me and started talking w/ me. We talked K-State. I asked him why he hadn't left yet for the game and he said he had some big deal ceo/president stuff to do later that night at this house. Dude does it all. He whispered to me "I bet you wish you weren't wearing that silly little 610 polo" and I  right back at him. He knew and I knew, 810 was where it was at. Great moment.

I had the chance to meet Stan at a birthday party a couple years back and started talking to him about kstate.  And by talking to him about Kstate I mean all I did was ask him questions and he literally told me Kstate stories for like 2 hours.  At the end of it he asked if I had a job (I did not..) and then got me a meeting with one of his friends who is the President of a company.  Long story short, Stan got me a job while answering every question I had about our football team.  Stud...

I remember Stan talking about ND State before the first game and he expected a 3 to 4 point game.

The surprise isn’t that NDState beat KSU, but that it hadn’t lost an opening game to a non-IA team under Snyder previously.

For some reason, LHCBS decides that "taking the kids legs" in fall camp is a good idea with the thought that we should be able to beat 1-AA teams on dead legs.  It finally caught up with us last fall.
