Really love when we get into these stretches where the pitching and defense is just fine but the offense is completely anemic

It's uncanny. I am not sure what can be done though. Maybe change the order, but that's usually not as big a difference as people make it out to be.

The Mets have to lead the league in warning track power.

Kind of a connect of errors. Like obvs even the best players are going to go through slumps during the season, but to have nimmo,lindor,Alonso,baty and vogey all slumping at the same time. And marte is only just now coming out of a prolonged slump.

Feel like I might be done with this season. Being perpetually disappointed 4-5 days a week until the end of September is not the best use of my time.

my gutcheck opinion of Ottavino is that he sucks. But I think as of last week he had some ridiculous streak of innings w/o a run allowed. or at least not an earned run. But yeah, Miguel Cabrera getting a bad jump could steal 2nd on him, and even if the data doesn't support it, i think he just kinda sucks.

Indeed. I'm watching it like, who are they trying to appeal to? The in game interviews are so terrible.

"Well we're going LIVE on the field to Juan Soto! Juan how are you these days?"
"Hey doing good"
"Juan, this is your third all star game, what is your favorite part of all star week?"
