They're mostly corrupt.  Dedicated to conservation by their mission but packed full of ranchers and pro-ranchers.  Imagine if you took the dumbest people that have posted in the global warming thread and put cowboy hats on them...that's your average BLM ranger.

I think I'm going to build a cabin in Yellowstone.  I'd like to see the government try to stop me! It's public land!

There were these people living in caves on BLM ground in Idaho.  The BLM sort of grandfathered them in and allowed it to happen.  The last one recently died a few years ago.  He was affectionately called Dugout Dick.

It is our land, as someone said a couple of pages ago.

You're presenting that statement out of context.

Are you "someone"? I was too lazy to look back, but when I read it the first time, I wanted to reply with a snarky comment, but I am trying to hold back with those and not jump at every opportunity gE presents to me. My wife thinks it is affecting my daily life.

I am.  I said it in the theme that this jackass shouldn't be able to graze his privately owned cattle on our publicly owned land without paying a market value fee.  I was not implying that public land comes without restrictions or regulations (such as building a cabin on it).

Too bad Bundy isn't an illegal immigrant. The government doesn't seem too interested in enforcing those laws. Actually, the BLM doesn't even seem too keen on enforcing grazing leases - until a major Harry Reid donor wants to build a solar panel farm nearby, and then it's time to call in Seal Team Six.

I'm in favor of federal government managing land and making money on leases, and I'm in favor of enforcing the law. I'm also in favor of enforcing all laws, and investigating Harry Reid's corruption.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I don't understand why "moderates" and others don't think illegal immigration is a big deal.

Law Enforcement along the border on the US side have said that Mexican drug gangs are creating a war zone, and infiltrating all across the United States.

No, but we should at least ban the assault mexicans. No farmer needs those for cheap labor, and anyone who has them is just hoping to pull the trigger on slave labor.

That sounds incredibly scary
