And for everyone who has the fear of fathering a child, you know where to find me.

I have no idea what this means

We've been trying to adopt for a while. I've made a standing invitation to anyone who has an unwanted pregnancy that we will adopt it.
I wish I would have known this back in 2006 after we beat KU on the road.  :frown:

You're a dad? or???

ghosts.  First house I grew up in had a bathroom right at the top of the stairs.  I would always imagine seeing a ghost staring up at me when I went to the bathroom at night.

Kid: end of the world.  In the late 80s a lot of religious loons would talk up the year 2000 and people would predict the end of the world coming and all. They talked about it in church and it just scared me to death.   Now I think about it and thank science and reason for making me an atheist/agnostic type so I don't have to worry about silly unnatural nonsense.

Now: just getting old. I worry about Alzheimer's and dementia and living a hollow existence.  Snakes too. Poisonous ones anyway.    Snakes would be cool if they had charm and charisma, and could hang out like dogs, but they don't.

i have feared death and/or serious bodily injury for as long as i can remember, and it only gets worse.

i used to be afraid of death, as a child.  would wake up at night terrified of my mortality.  as an adult, i don't think about it.  i'm not sure i'm afraid of anything now (i mean, i experience momentary fear at times, but nothing that i think about when not directly confronted with it).

My great grandmother had a weird thing where she painted a shitload of clowns. They were very good paintings, but my grandparents put them in the playroom, so I was scared shitless of my grandparents playroom.

My biggest fear now is not only heights, but being off balance at heights. That Grand Canyon tightrope walker show was one of the 10 most stressful hours of my life. I lean back in my chair a lot, and sometimes when I'm super tired I feel like the ground is going to give way and leave me falling backwards.

That explains your freakout when climbing down off of Anderson that night a little bit better.

yes, as someone who doesn't believe in an afterlife, death does not scare me in the least.  bodily harm scares me tho, cause i don't like ouchies.

I worry about Alzheimer's because my grandma had it. When I forget where I put something, sometimes it kind of freaks me out.

For a long time after I watched this movie as a kid, every time I saw jet contrails in the sky I thought WW3 was happening.

Have you ever seen threads? Makes The Day After look like a rough ridin' Disney movie.

On a related note: Was pretty terrified of air raid sirens for a long time after watching Threads when I was a kid.

As an adult: Me or anyone I know getting liver cancer because eff that crap with a backhoe.

Well duh!!

As a child I was scared of the Jesusy, rapture thing with a time period that was on the horizon.

I understand science can end it at any time, and will. It's more understandable now and less scary.
