I think that's pretty much a lock.

Who do you think will improve more? I'd say Thomas just because his shooting was so bad, but I'm more excited to see what Nigel does, I think he has more upside, which I never thought I would be saying at the mid point of the conference season.

Gip is going to be a monster. Like, a 13 & 10 type dude. Srs.

Edit: Ok, maybe a 13 & 8 type dude.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I don't have any idea who will improve more, I think Thomas has the higher ceiling, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will improve more. They will both be appreciably better next year though, which means our point guard position will be appreciably better.

#1 is rebounding.

Playing a little bigger at the 4/5 spots will help.  Edwards is also a good rebounding guard.

#2 for me is TOs.  We need to cut down on few of our careless TOs ourselves and force a few more by way of steals.    We ave having about 1 more TO per game than our opp in league play. Be nice to be +2-2.5 next year. ( so roughly  +3or4% in TO%)

I'm not sure we have a starter at PG, much less depth.  Then again, not sure we did this year either

Edwards and Hurt will really change the look of the team.  We'll be a better rebounding team and a couple of guys that are on the team now can go to their more natural positions.

This should be our line up walking out next year,

G Edwards 6'4
G Foster 6'2
F Westicles 6'7
F Gipson 6'7
F Bolden 6'11

With the added height we should be better in the area's we need to be better in!  We also add depth in Hurt, JT, N Johnson, D Johnson, and Nino, that's a legit 10 deep bench, compared to the no one of 6'7 on the team line up we ran out with this year.  We got hurt when we could not stop bigs!  For me it's all  :ksu: next year!

It will be interesting. I think we might see that line-up, but I doubt we'll see Edwards/Foster without another guard (Jevon or Nigel) on the floor.

My guess (variations/line up options):

PG Jevon/Nigel
SG Foster/Nigel/Edwards
SF Edwards/Westicles
SF Nino/Hurt/Gip
PF Gip/DJamer/Bolden

OR

Jevon/Nigel
Foster/Nigel/Edwards
Edwards/Westicles
Gip/Nino/Hurt
DJamer/Bolden

What would you change, I'm not sold on that, but I thought it was the best talent, combo we could put out there to compete in the league.

Not saying I'm right with my 5 but curious what others think?

Where does Edwards fit into this?  I'm a huge Edwards fan, do we go
JT/Nigel
Foster
Edwards
Westicles
Gipson ?

Either way I'm excited about the depth at all positions next year!

I'm not sure about Edwards, but Foster seems to like him: http://powercatgameday.com/cats-suffocated-kentucky/ (first video)

Honestly, in my opinion the best player on our team next year is going to be Hopper the transfer from Maine. You know he's been in the gym working hard and I feel he's going to be our best player and our leading scorer next year honestly.

Yes, I really like his upside if he makes even decent improvements to his game. I think he can be an All Big 12 player by the time he's done.

Edwards would still get a lot of minutes if he was the guy right behind Foster and Wes.

1 Nigel 25min JT 15 min
2 Foster 30min 10 min Edwards/Nigel
3 Edwards 20min Westicles 15 min
4 Westicles 15min Nino/DJamer/Hurt/Gip 25min
5 Gip 25 min Bolden/DJamer/Hurt 15min

1- I don't see oscar handing PG duties over to Marcus or foregoing a point with two on the team that he recruited.
2- Foster is here, but could also be used at the 1 in a pinch, Edwards and Westicles could get minutes here to help out the logjam at F
3- Edwards will be the 3rd G on the floor most of the time
4- Westicles Westicles will take some time at the 3 but mostly take over the Shane Southwell role here, Will be interesting to see how Nino survives this and if Westicles/Edwards are competing for more time at the 3 and oscar goes bigger
5- Gip will play a lot of minutes, but oscar will probably make an early sub and give Gip breaks in/out of media timeouts with the rest of the guys.  I think DJamer gets left behind here and Bolden/Hurt split most of the minutes

+ Min. (2013-14)  KK Projection
Nigel (14 min) 25
Foster (30) 33-35
Westicles (24) 25+
Gip (26) 26+

Newcomers
Edwards 18-20min
Bolden 10-15min
Hurt 10-15min

- Min.
Nino (16) 12-14
DJamer (14) 10
Thomas (16) 15

I've been very impressed with Nigel's speed and quickness when I've seen him play.
My winning smile and can-do attitude.
