Kentucky State University (KSU or, less commonly, KYSU to differentiate from Kansas State University) is a public institution that was founded in 1886. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 2,490, it has a total graduate enrollment of 350, its setting is city, and the campus size is 915 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. Kentucky State University's ranking in the 2013 edition of Best Colleges is National Liberal Arts Colleges, Tier 2. Its in-state tuition and fees are $6,858 (2012–13); out-of-state tuition and fees are $16,458 (2012–13).
