If you do, eat a sock and see if you can crap it out with that clean just laundered smell.

It’s too easy to survive (not die) in the world today, and it’s the root of most of our current problems.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Stone Temple Pilots was the best grunge/alternative band of the 90s and it wasn't particularly close.

Scott Weiland was a better musician than Kurt Cobain.

Interstate Love Song was better than anything Nirvana did and it wasn't even STPs best song.

Smells Like Teen Spirit is boring, mealy-mouthed, gobbledegook.

STP didn't get their due because some pencil necked producer at MTV liked that drab music and decided to push it, in lieu of better music in the genre. I don't even dislike Nirvana, I think In Utero and Unplugged were good to great albums, I just think they were and continue to be overated and every time I hear Angels Like Teen Spirit, I want to gnaw my ears off.

That felt good to get off of my chest, 30 years later.

I'm not particularily fond of either band but nirvana had better (worse?) vibes

Yeah. Nirvana had a more compelling ethos, imo. MIR didn't want to say it, but he seems to be saying that Nirvana was unduly canonized due to Cobain's untimely death.

Radiohead was also unduly canonized, but for very different reasons.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Cobain needed Dave Grohl to lift from The Gap Band for Nirvana to make a listenable song.

I think Nevermind and OK Computer were the two best albums of the 90s.

Probably still better than anything from stp

Listened to some podcast the other day (can’t remember title, might look it up) and it was this guy who wrote a book about the 90s but tried to look at it from the viewpoint at the time instead of with hindsight and he was like “the thing about the 90s is there was this huge import on being true to their art and “selling out” was like the worst thing you could do and nirvana was really struggling to reconcile that fact bc they were getting so popular “

And I’m not sure what I can extrapolate from that but I would tend to agree in the 90s selling out definitely seemed to be frowned upon

Had Kurt Cobain lived, Nirvana probably releases one more album and breaks up, and he becomes a recluse and doesn't stay in public life.

0% chance Kurt would make music like the Foo Fighters.

I don’t think anyone could possibly know whether Eric Bienemy is a great OC or not. I could probably OC the chiefs to 9 wins just doing nothing except letting Patrick call every single play.  Bienemy may be great, but it’s just so hard to tell when you may be coaching the best to ever play QB, and a top 10 all time TE.
