Let me just rephrase my sentiment.  Russia should get the majority of the credit for winning WWII and that goes for our D-day victory too. Maybe it wasn't purposely set up that way by them, but you have to admit their sacrifice and entanglement in the war made the D-Day triumph much more attainable.
