Husband of a high school friend makes $300k+a year. Thinks anyone making middle income or less is lazy.

I reminded him his wife is a school teacher.

I imagine he feels as dumb as ksuw right now.

Trash collectors work hard, too. I said smarter and work harder.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

ksuw, have you considered taking a job that pays less, in order to take advantage of the lower tax rate?

Have you considered the inherent inequity of progressive taxation?

Just imagine how many more people would be taking higher paying jobs if only the government did not disincentivize it with higher taxes.  Sad!

I'm apparently smarter and work harder than K-S-U-Dub!   :Woohoo:

I make more, so that is consolation for being dumber and lazier

How come smart people like mitt Romney and the like can pay such small effective rates and ksuw can't figure it out? :frown:

Do you think kids that get free lunch at schools have an obligation to mop up floors, or something of the like, to show them that it isn't really a "free lunch" ?

It's hard out there for a HENRY. One day I'll derive most of my income from cap gains, but today is not that day.

HENRY acronym must fundamentally ill-define "rich."

Those kids loser parents should have to mop. Great idea.

Hey, if you can't afford to feed 4 kids, maybe you shouldn't have one.

My wife doesn't work and just spends money all day, so I save a ton on taxes but take it in the ass on lost income and credit card bills.

but it might end up lower because the higher income makes it easier to max out tax-advantaged retirement accounts plus there's more tax-deductible child care expenses this year. Not sure yet!

Educational expenses. Got all my federal income tax from working last summer back. And, it being Texas, no state income tax.

my kinda, sorta coworker spent about an hour telling me i should incorporate myself to rape the government.  i don't really want to be incorporated, but now i'm going to have to at least look into it and see if he's right.
